HydroDuty Testing

Chemical Wash Life Test Station (Testing "Torture Chamber") our "apples to apples" test to measure life performance vs. other manufacturers washdown motors.

The Test Station consists of:

  • Automatic Washer
  • High Pressure Spray
  • Chemical Solutions

The test simulates washdown procedures and provides head-to-head testing against competitors.

108 Day Acid Test

  • Soaked winding in hydrochloric acid solution for 108 days
  • Windings still intact & functioning!

Water Submersion Test

  • Ran motor to operating temperature
  • Submerged motor up to shaft in cold water
  • Numerous cycles—still functioning

How does HydroDuty compare to the competition?

In tests of competitors' washdown motors, we have found that most fail between 20 - 40 cycles. In no case has a competitor motor lasted more than 10% of the life of a HydroDuty motor.

"Torture Test" Comparison One Cycle = One Day of Plant Service

The HydroDuty motor has surpassed 1900 machine cycles, representing more than 5 years in a food processing application!

Field Trials

  • HydroDuty's prototype is still running after 4.5 years in applications where competition lasted less than 3 months
